Food was decent but service was terrible. They asked if we needed a refill after we were finished eating! Horrible!

The food was fair today. I think Anna the owner must have been out. When she's there the food is great.

Been going here for 10 years and love it. Staff is never friendly, but food is always good.

Went in on a sunday, lunch specials dont apply on sundays, okay cool, no biggie. I was with two of my friends, one friend decided the buffet looked alright and was willing to try it. Myself and my other friend decided we wanted something off of the menu instead. They wouldnt give us any menus until we asked. Okay fine maybe they just assumed we were all getting the buffet. So she and i i were looking at the single menu they gave us and this elderly asian woman walked over and basically snatched the menu from us and told us to get the buffet. Okay, now i'm concerned. We decided to shake it off and eat the buffet anyway. All of the food was just awful literally the only thing i i could eat were the little rolls with sugar on them. And my friend is a bit of a messy eater so he thought he'd dropped a bit of food onto his arm and went to wipe it off AND IT WAS A LIVE ROACH CRAWLING ON HIM. Also their sweet tea was absolutely disgusting. Thank you for listening

Ming’s is simply my favorite Chinese Restaurant! Excellent food, excellent service!

Visited last night. First impression, I was not pleased with the "feeling of hospitality" . I ordered two Mongolian Beef (ask to substitute fried rice for white rice. I was told they didn't substitute because the cooks get mad and quit) I then ordered a serving of soup and I was told they only serve soup for two. While waiting for my food I noticed the health Dept score of 92. The violations listed were no therometers to monitor food temperature and unclean food contact and non contact surfaces. All are food safety issues. The bill came to 32.00 for just two dinners and soup.The only positive thing I can say is the beef was tasty (rice was wet and clumpy) but I have ordered the same thing at other places, just as good at a cost of 18.00 to 20.00, Way over priced in my opinion I would not recommend it to anyone nor will I be returning.

We’ve came in a couple of times for the buffet and the service here sucks! Like really bad! I really don’t understand why all of these comments keep saying that they are fast and friendly because these folks ARE NOT! They have one waitress! And guys that get your drink order that doesn’t even know what the noodles are! Still haven’t had a refill yet! No personality, NO HEY HOW ARE YA NOTHING! Where’s the personality at around here! Gah! And the bathrooms are DISGUSTING! Looks as if they NEVER CLEAN IT! I honestly don’t know how they pass the health department with that bathroom! Get some personality please people!! No SMILES AT ALL NOT ONCE! Neither time we’ve came!

Nope. I gave this place two attempts. Both were failures. My expectations were low for interior or service, but I was hoping for OK food. Both times food was simply bad. Vegetables had foul smell (spoiled), meat was overcooked in smelly old oil... Rice was sticky and smelly... Not even going to bother with third try.

The best Chinese buffet I have ever been too. Food was very fresh. Waitress was awesome also. Will definitely be back with my family. And will suggest this place to all my friends.

No wait but it's No New Chinese Buffet the food is not 5 or even 2 star quality. Ask for Sprite and got back something that taste like sparkling water. The water was nice so I gave it Two stars.

The store has new ownership. If you had concerns about the location before please come check them out.

I had not eaten here since I was a teenager (15ish years ago). I moved back to the area and decided to order to go from here hoping it was still good and it is! I ordered the general tsos chicken and it was so good! It had a nice amount of heat to it. It also had a sweetness to it coming from candied orange peel which I have NEVER had in this chicken dish but I loved it.

Not served with fried rice and they don’t ask. chicken is dry no sauce and way overpriced Ordered 2 dinners and 2 egg rolls got a small pack of sauce For all. Won’t be back

Our family has been eating at Ming's for decades. The food is good, the service is good, the buffet on Sunday's is good. Tonight we had the General's Chicken and the Garlic Chicken. I had the General's Chicken made extra hot and spicy with the cooked in peppers. It was tasty, but still not hot at all. The Garlic Chicken was tasty too. The portions were generous. We also had the Crab Rangoons which were very good. We were in and out fairly quickly. There are many other Chinese restaurants in and around Birmingham that have much better food/buffets, but they are located several miles away from Gardendale.

Great lunch buffet for the price!

Food was okay but not great. Portion was good. But it was $75 for 2 adults and 3 kids (ages 8, 6, & 4).

The Chinese food you have come to expect in America. The food tasted great, when I visited on Monday for lunch. Slightly salty for my pallet, but you don't know it until you are eating your second plate. Will visit, again.

Some of the best Asian food I've had in some time! The hot and sour soup was top notch. My sesame chicken was perfectly. Nothing was too heavy or greasy. I need to try the buffet some time!

I've had Mings for over 2 decades. It use to be the fancy chinese place. While I don't know how the night service is, the lunch had me feeling disappointed. You could tell some of the items were way past their time for the buffet. Some of the food seemed like frozen items reheated. Service and staff were good.

Ming's Garden is very good. The food is seasoned well and spiced to my liking.

Our lunch was decidedly below par, and some of the food was quite different. So, we asked if there was a different cook and learned there is one new cook and new ownership. We greatly miss the old Ming’s.

Pretty good food for a good price, been here a few times and they have been consistent so far. Food always hot and ready for pickup when I arrive.

Best chinese takeout in the tri county area!!!

I went today for lunch and my rice was Burt like literally taste Burt and hand piece and stuck together burnt rice Pieces in my plate. I asked to switch to plain rice and it was better ig but they didn’t switch plates they scrapped it out so burnt rice pieces were still left behind in my plate. It wasn’t very good so I threw it out and went for my egg roll witch was also BURNT 🤦‍♀️I just won’t be coming back it wasn’t even good enough to risk another bad experience.

Food is good. Service is great. The experience I had while being served by the young man that brought and refilled my drinks was amazing. He did whatever it took to make the experience enjoyable and make us laugh and have a good family dinner. Definitely recommend.
